How U.S. & Canadian Companies Hire Remote Talent from Mexico & LATAM

Hiring remote professionals internationally can create huge opportunities for growing companies, but many leaders have the same questions before getting started.

How are candidates vetted?

How are contractors paid?

Who owns the work produced?

How does collaboration work across borders?

Creative Work Club was created to simplify nearshore hiring for companies that want access to highly skilled professionals in Mexico and LATAM while maintaining seamless collaboration with their existing teams.

Below is a clear overview of how the process works.

Our Consultant Vetting Process

The quality of candidates is the most important part of remote hiring.

Creative Work Club sources professionals from multiple channels, including our internal community of talent, referrals, job platforms, universities, and professional networks across Mexico and LATAM.

Every candidate goes through an initial screening process before being presented to clients.

This typically includes:

• Resume and portfolio review
• English communication assessment
• Short video introduction from the candidate
• Experience and role alignment evaluation

For technical roles such as developers or designers, we also review portfolios or technical experience to ensure candidates meet the required skill level.

Only candidates who meet the role requirements are presented to the client for interviews.

Our Hiring Process (7–10 Day Turnaround)

We keep the hiring process simple and efficient so companies can move quickly when they need additional capacity.

The typical process includes:

  1. Discovery call to understand the role and requirements

  2. Defining the ideal candidate profile and compensation range

  3. Candidate sourcing and screening

  4. Presenting a shortlist of vetted candidates

  5. Client interviews with preferred candidates

  6. Contractor agreement and onboarding

Most placements are completed within 7–10 days, allowing companies to scale their teams quickly.

Fees, Pricing & Payments

Creative Work Club operates on a straightforward pricing model.

Clients pay a single agreed monthly rate to our agency for the contractor’s services.

There are no additional recruitment or placement fees.

Payments are typically made:

• In USD
• Via ACH or wire transfer
• On a monthly basis (by the 21st)

Creative Work Club then manages payment to the contractor, making the process simple for the client.

Contracts & Legal Structure

Creative Work Club operates using an agency-managed contractor model.

The contractor is engaged through Creative Work Club, and the client contracts with the agency under mutually agreed terms.

We provide contract templates to make the process straightforward and transparent.

This structure simplifies the hiring process for clients while ensuring contractors are properly supported.

Intellectual Property & Data Security

For most companies, protecting intellectual property and confidential information is critical.

Under the Creative Work Club model:

• All work produced belongs fully to the client
• Non-disclosure agreements can be provided when required
• Contractors are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding client information, processes, and data

When AI tools are used within a role, clients can define internal policies regarding how those tools are used, particularly in relation to confidential information or proprietary data.

Creative Work Club encourages responsible and transparent use of digital tools to protect client interests.

Operations & Communication

One of the biggest advantages of hiring in Mexico and LATAM is time zone alignment.

Most contractors work within the same or very similar working hours as U.S. and Canadian teams, making real-time collaboration easy.

Contractors typically integrate directly into the client’s existing workflow using tools such as:

• Slack
• Zoom
• Notion
• Project management platforms

The client manages the contractor’s day-to-day work, while Creative Work Club remains available for support whenever needed.

Replacement & Retention Policy

Remote hiring should feel low risk for clients.

If a placement does not work out or the contractor leaves early, Creative Work Club provides a free replacement within the first 30 days.

This ensures companies can move forward with confidence when building their remote teams.
