Role Overview

A Senior WordPress Developer is responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, reliable websites while helping guide technical decisions and supporting other developers when needed. Senior developers typically handle more complex features, ensure sites run efficiently, and help maintain best practices across projects.

English C1 level is a must for client facing communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins

• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve bugs or performance problems

• Optimize website speed, performance, and overall functionality

• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to implement new features

• Ensure websites are secure, updated, and follow WordPress best practices

• Review code and provide guidance or support to other developers where needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience working with WordPress ELEMENTOR development

• Knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL

• Experience building or customizing WordPress themes and plugins

• Understanding of website performance, security, and optimization

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and manage multiple development tasks

Typical Goals of the Role

The Senior WordPress Developer helps ensure websites are stable, secure, and performing well. They play a key role in delivering high-quality web projects, improving site functionality, and supporting the wider team with technical expertise.

This role is part time and subject to a mimimum amount of monthly hours.

The hourly rate is $18-$20 USD per hour
