Role Summary

We are seeking a Shopify-focused developer with strong WordPress capabilities to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize ecommerce websites for multiple client brands.

This person will be responsible for maintaining high-performing Shopify and WordPress websites, resolving technical issues, implementing improvements, supporting integrations, and ensuring client stores remain stable, secure, and optimized.

The ideal candidate is a technical problem solver who understands ecommerce platforms, frontend development, backend logic, APIs, and the operational realities of maintaining revenue-generating websites.

This is a client facing role, so the candidate needs to be comfortable speaking English with our clients on video calls.

Core Responsibilities

Shopify Development & Maintenance (70%)

• Manage and maintain Shopify stores across multiple clients
• Troubleshoot theme issues and storefront bugs
• Modify Shopify themes using Liquid
• Build and update custom sections
• Manage theme files and code changes
• Implement UI/UX improvements
• Configure Shopify settings
• Install and troubleshoot Shopify apps
• Manage app conflicts
• Support checkout and cart functionality
• Optimize site performance and speed
• Debug frontend issues
• Perform QA testing before deployments

WordPress Development & Maintenance (30%)

• Maintain WordPress websites
• Update themes and plugins safely
• Troubleshoot plugin conflicts
• Manage WooCommerce environments
• Fix frontend and backend issues
• Implement content updates
• Improve site performance
• Resolve hosting/database issues
• Maintain security best practices

Experience:

Minimum

• 3+ years web development experience
• 2+ years Shopify experience

• Comfortable in production environments

This role is part time and subject to a mimimum amount of monthly hours.
